9k is different from 18k or 24k because 24k is pure gold and 18k and 9k have more metals in them so that helps the become more endurable. but if you want pure metal get 24k
Gold should be stamped with the appropriate karat level e.g. 9K=9 karat, 18k=18 karat. The higher the number the more gold the piece contains. The lowest tends to be 9K.

This is an impossible question to answer. You can determine the gold value by determining the weightX karat (9k,10k,14k,18k,22k,24k) X price of gold divided by 31.1 to determine gram weight value. This does not include the cost of labor to manufacture the item. Some items are casted with very low labor costs and others can take several hours of even days to make.
means it is .375 pure gold. 9k / 24k = .375. Formula holds true for any karat. 14k is marked as 585 and 10k is marked as 417
Gold purity is measured in karats based on 24 karats being pure gold. 18k means the gold is 18 out of 24 karats pure: 18 parts gold to 6 parts alloy. 9k means the gold is of low purity, only 9 parts gold to 15 parts alloy. The letter k after a number normally means "thousand" when your talking about gold, silver, etc. It is normally used in games like runescape etc.
Better to lose a 9k gold ring than a 18k one ! 18k is purer gold than 9k.

It means that the ring is made from 9k gold 9 does not mean a ring is 9k unless there 1s a "k" involved I have never seen a ring that was designated 9k/ Usually you will see 10,12.14,18 or 24k unless the ring was custom crafted at 9k. It is more than likely 9 is the ring size. Hope this is helpful!

Hi anything with PL before or after 18 k or 9k is an indication that the item is gold plated with a thin layer of gold on top of a base metal or sometimes silver. Daniel
If the case is marked as karat gold, yes. That would be 10K, 14K, 18K. There may be some marked 9K. Most are not solid gold. They are marked RGP, (rolled gold plate), or 1/20th 14k which is one quality of gold fill.
