Zeus sends Hermes to release him from calypso or Zeus will drown her island so he lets Odysseus be on his way
No, Odysseus' dad was Laertes
Yes, Odysseus' father is Laertes. However, in ancient Greece, all kings come from the line of Zeus. Therefore, in a sense, Zeus is also Odysseus' father. =)

Odysseus is said to be the son of Anticlia, daughter of Autolycus. Autolycus is a son of Hermes, Zeus is the father of Hermes. Demeter is the sister of Zeus.
Zeus is not directly related to Calypso. Calypso is a nymph in Greek mythology who is known for holding Odysseus captive on her island in Homer's "Odyssey." Zeus is the king of the gods and does not have a familial relationship with Calypso.
Anticlea was the mother of Odysseus; her father was Autolycus, and his father was Hermes. Hermes is the brother of Hephaestus by their father Zeus.
In the story The Odyssey, Zeus orders Calypso release Odysseus from Calypso's island. Zeus was convinced by the goddess, Athena, to help Odysseus.

Zeus did not throw a thunderbolt at Odysseus. In the Odyssey, Zeus actually sends a storm to disrupt Odysseus' journey home as punishment for his men eating the cattle of the sun god Helios. Odysseus himself avoids direct retribution from Zeus.

Zeus generally has a favorable attitude toward Odysseus in Homer's epic poems. Zeus sometimes intervenes on Odysseus' behalf, such as by sending Hermes to help him or by ensuring he eventually returns home to Ithaca. Zeus respects Odysseus for his cunning and resourcefulness, which align with Zeus' own qualities.
Zeus backs Odysseus by sending a favorable wind to help him return home safely. This wind is a sign of Zeus' support and protection for Odysseus's journey.
