The Orca (commonly known as a Killer Whale) is a toothed whale belonging to the oceanic dolphin family. It is the largest member. The Orca is a mammal because it has to come to the surface to breath air (unlike fish), fertilisation is internal, the mother gives live birth after a gestation period, and the mother suckles her baby on milk until it has developed enough to be weaned and able to catch and eat fish.
