almost all the time animal behaviors are learned. The bad behaviors can be corrected and the good behaviors should be awarded
That is only fully true of domesticated animals. Wild animals can be taught new behavior, or "tricks", but their true instinct is always present.
well, it can be both. as you live out your life you tend to pick up habits. when a bug lands on you, you swat it away; if you did something wrong and your parent/guardian finds out you know how the
y will react; etc... But humans are also are born with the instinct to be omnivores and when something dangerous comes along to do something about it. soo, ya, both.
It's a learned behavior.
This is illustrated by how easy it is to find YouTube videos of house cats getting along famously with parakeets, hamsters and gerbils. They learned immediately from birth that food is the crunchy stuff in that bowl over there, and all the other critters are friends they can hang out with.
hunting is pure instinct, my cat does it all the time and he hardly ever goes outside, and when he does it is always for a short time.
animals have the instict to hunt but must learn hunting skills.
Seeing as the term "Tabby" is coat pattern found on some cats and in several breeds, the size and personality of a tabby cat can be incredibly varied. A cat's hunting skill depends on the individual; some cats are very skilled in hunting, whereas other cats are not.
it is a learned behavior because a lion doesn't know how to hunt until the mother or father teaches him(her)
what is the subartic lifestyle
Innate behaviors are behaviors that animals exhibit that they did not learn. For example, baby monkeys and apes (including humans) will grasp things with their feet and/or hands. Nobody has to teach them to do this, they are just born knowing how to do it. Another example is hunting behavior in cats -- while sophisticated hunting skills are learned over time, basic hunting behaviors like stalking and pouncing are innate to cats, cats will do them automatically from the time they are kittens without having to be taught.
flying and sleeping upside down during day(nocturnal) are in genes or instinct while hunting and finding food is learned.
they scream in instinctual
Instinctual : A hatching turtle instinctively heads down the beach to reach the sea. Learned: Some chimpanzees have learned to use a grass stalk or twig, to poke it into a termite's nest, and eat the termites than stick to the stalk.
The inherited trait is instinctual and with them from birth while the learned trait is something they observe and use.
It is a defense mechanism, and it is instinctual. You cannot learn or 'unlearn' it; you can only hone it or dull it.
