There are so, so, so many combinations possible, already with the 20 simplest, most occurring elements.

2020 = 1.05*1026 and 1*2*3*4*5*6*78 .....*19*20 = (20!) = 2.5*1018 or even something in between are more possibillities than we have dicovered yet or will ever discover!!

What is the substance of classified as compound?

A compound is defined as a substance that contains at least two chemical elements and always has a constant mass ratio between elements for each possible pair of the elements that are present in it.

How many different combinations are possible from the union of 1 egg and 1 sperm?

There are millions of possible combinations.

How Is it possible for the atoms of different elements to have the same mass numbers?

It is possible only because of different number of neutrons.

How is it possible for an object to be neutral if it contains millions of electrons?

Although a substance may contain millions of negatively charged electrons, it also contains millions of positively charged protons. The object will be neutral when the number of protons equals the number of electrons.

How is it possible for a liquid to be made of elements that are gases at room temperature?

elements can combine to form new substances with different properties.

What is an atom that is made of two or more elements?

The definition of an atom is that is the smallest possible particle of ONE element. I think you meant to ask "What is a substance that is made of two or more elements." The answer to this question is, "A compound".

How is it possible that there are millions of pure substances when there's only about 100 elements?

The element carbon has the ability to link with itself in long chains containing from two up to hundreds of units. It can also form rings and bond with many other elements and they often with each other. This ability means that many millions of possible compounds can be formulated. The chemistry of carbon is called organic chemistry as life is based upon it.

What is one way all symbols for elements are the same?

It is not possible because we need a differentiation between elements, including different chemical symbols.

Why do atoms make up molecules but molecules don't make up atoms?

Atoms are the smallest possible units of PURE substances called elements. There are are only about 118 elements known to exist. When atoms of different elements join together chemically (they share electrons between each other), they form a new substance called a compound. The smallest possible unit (or joined up atoms) of a compound is called a molecule. There are potentially hundreds of thousands of compounds.

It is possible for the atoms of two different elements to have the same number of electrons?

Yes, if they are both ions

A substance that enables a chemical reaction to proceed under the different conditions than otherwise possible?

Which substance can be decomposed by chemicals means?

Compound is a substance composed of two or more elements combined in definite proportions, can be broken down by chemical means. Element is a substance that cannot be broken down into simpler substances even by chemical means.
