The head is streamlined and so is the tail therefore helping the sperm cell swim.

It has a 'tail' (flagella) that allows it to swim towards the egg (ova) for fertilization, which takes minimal energy so it can travel further and make it to the egg.

The sperm cell also has an acrosome at the tip of it's head with enzymes that help it break the outer layer of the egg...

A sperm cell's tail is strong for swimming and it has a mid-section packed full of mitochondria for respiration. Also, the nucleus is has half of the male DNA. The sperm cell is small and lightweight, allowing it to travel quickly.

Its naturally inbuilt to its DNA or its genes, so they don't have to adapt.

But the journey that they have to make is pretty much from bendigo to Perth and they do this over a period of about 24 - 48 hours depending on what sex the sperm is.

Hope that answers your question.

Sperm contain tail, so that its help to swim of the sperm cells, and sperm is having large number of mitochondria which produced lots of energy, its help to move of the sperm cell. The head of the sperm cell have an enzyme to digest the glycoprotein membrane of the germ cell so that it can be fertilized with egg.
