There are argues about this question ,Tigers and Lions are both powerful.
But why is the lion got such a supreme title among animals?Is it because of his earth shattering roar? Maybe because the regal impression given by his mane? or maybe because he plays the role of top predator. Hunting some of the world's largest land animals. In groups or alone with brutal force. Or maybe cuz he reminds us of us. He too, at times being the creature of the war. Or is it because he is who he is, the most powerful killer on earth.
Lions had great fighting techniques and head, eye ,body coordination,go to lion vs tiger , the technical boxer.:When a tigers paw is coming, lion quickly moves it's head down,tiger miss the lion. It was amazing when scientists found out that lion knows that their opponent is gonna hit, lions analyse the body posture and quickly react and moves its head away.

It is true and often known that the tiger brings NO DANGER to the lion.
The term"king of beasts"is given to him because he can kill his opponent even when it's bigger than him.

However American lions often defeated shortfaced bears s they were 25-35% larger than modern African lions.They were the only cats who defeated smilodons or Sabre toothed cat.
There are no argues about this in cat experts, not a single expert said that tiger should be king, lion is the real king of the beasts.

However, a lion can be compared to a king because it is physically powerful and at the top of its areas' food chains. Lions have no natural predators, although humans will sometimes kill them for sport, their hides, or self-defense.
