Any size maybe the biggest is two hands though! ;-)
Get a bigger shell each time it molts and when it molts it is NOT dead unless it is stinky...
But if it is half way out of its shell then it is molting and leave it alone when it is because it will lead to deadly things it you dissturb... But if it is a 2 inch. then it is molting for a week or 2 maybe 3 weeks. If it is bigger then maybe a month.
Hermit crabs are easyer then Hamsters. Hope you like the advice! :-)

∙ 13y agoThe Hermit crabs will then move off to find another, bigger shell. They are not hostile towards other creatures shell. They only forage for empty ones. However, they are highly protective of their own shell.
