Usually 1/2 hour per pound, so 5 x 1/2 = 2 1/2 hours. Always check with a meat thermometer, Beef should come to 160 - 170 degrees. Temperature trumps time. (Thermometers are cheap - especially compared to a large roast.)(ps - allow the roast to come to room temperature before roasting)
