Most brake pads are 2 or 3 inches long but midas are junk so they are thinner
Midas stocks O.E. equivalent brake pad replacements. It is really vehicle specific but they have everything from organic to full ceramic brake pads. They also come with a LIFETIME NATIONWIDE WARRANTY
When you purchase brakes or brake pads from Midas Brakes they come with a lifetime warranty. The warranty is exclusive to retailers that offer Midas Brakes and installation.
It depends on how long you want them to last. If Toyota does it, it will be as long as they did this time, and your driving habits. Midas claims lifetime pads. I usually use the best brand they have @ Schucks or NAPA. Raybestos.
JUST TAKE IT TO MIDAS
Most places like brake masters, Midas etc. will do one axel, front or rear for about $100.
Cost me $580 from midas - which I think is bullsh** --------------------- you can save some money by replacing brake pads yourself. This DIY guide shows you how it's done on a Mercedes ML but most brake pads replacements work on the same principle. http://www.nicedeals.co.uk/blog/diy-guides/mercedes-diy/mercedes-ml-front-brake-pads-replacement/
Brake pads are part of the cars disk brakes. There are four different brake pads they are semi-metallic brake pads, organic brake pads, low-metallic NAO brake pads and ceramic brake pads.
I recommend getting your brakes from Auto Zone, they range anywhere from $12.99 to $49.99 for front or rear brake pads. If you don't want to replace them yourself you can have Midas replace them.
They gaurantee them for a lifetime but beware. The pads they put on my car didn't last a year of basic highway driving without traffic. They lasted just less than 20,000 miles. Most brake pads should last at least 30-50K miles. They gaurantee the pads but you have to pay for the labor each time they are replaced which can be a pain if this happens annually. This is how they make their money. They also try to upcharge you on additional repairs that are not always necessary.
If the caliper leaks brake fluid, the immediate problem isn't the brake pads - it's the brake lines (or the connections). Get that fixed pronto!
Why do brake pads squeak after replacing pads?
Yes, Midas does offer free brake inspections at all of their locations. Just go into a Midas location and they will be glad to take a look at your brakes for you.
