How long are you a Girl Scout Brownie?

For Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA), Girl Scout Brownies are grades 2 and 3. Girl Scout Brownies bridge to Junior Girl Scouts once they have completed third grade. Most children are age 8 or 9 when they complete third grade.

You don't have to quit Girl Scouts at any age. You can become a lifetime member. Once you have completed the girl levels of Girl Scouting (Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, Ambassador for GSUSA), you then become a Girl Scout Adult member and may continue as a member or volunteer or even get a job in various Girl Scout positions.
