Its DRI and NRI and not a SSRI or SRI...
SSRIs take longer to take effect I think...

Wellbutrin isn't a MAO inhibitor...it works in the brain in a totally different way than MAO inhibitors drugs. Google Wellbutrin and read all about it.

Wellbutrin and Lexapro work on different brain chemistries. Wellbutrin works on the dopamine while Lexapro works on Seratonin. Ten mg of Lexapro is a small dose. Wellbutrin can be taken twice a day to prolong its efficacy in conjunction with the Lexapro taken once. This is a standad therapy.

Of course, I must insist that you speak with your doctor about this, however... It is thought, but not completely proven, that Wellbutrin works primarily on dopamine and norepinephrine, while SamE and 5-HTP affect serotonin. This would lead one to believe that this combination is safe, personally I have taken Wellbutrin and 5-HTP together with no side effects. Yet again, ask your doctor before combining a prescription drug with any other drug, chemical or herb.

You might need a nap. But Wellbutrin tends to increase energy while Benadryl causes drowsiness, so they might cancel each other out. As a Wellbutrin user, I find that taking a 24 hour allergy medication before bed is sufficient.

I haven't found any difficulties with drinking alcohol on Wellbutrin, although I am only on 150 mg daily. I've read that it increases risk of seizures, which is higher with Wellbutrin as it is. My pharmacist told me and I've read online that when you drink alcohol while on wellbutrin it empties the stores of wellbutrin that youre body/brain has accumulated since you started. Many people go into wellbutrin withdrawal after they drink and feel really bad for days or weeks. Ive been through it, its HORRIBLE.
