Dolphins reproduce internally and give live birth.
A fly can live without an abdomen due to the anatomy of the fly. A fly feeds constantly and passes feces regularly.

Yes, you can live without your eyes if the bleeding is stopped in time.
i haven't had experience with gerbils bleeding-- but with dogs and bleeding feet- you just put a little corn starch on it and it will be fine! the gerbil depends on how much it is bleeding, if only a little it will be OK (as long as you stop the bleeding) i would just coax them away from each other with a little fruit or nut most likely- the gerbil will live =) no worries
Entire abdomens are not currently transplanted (since there's lots of things in the abdomen, not all of which are essential). You can live quite happily without your speen, large intestine, stomach (yes, stomach) and gall bladder. This means that lots of things in the abdomen are not worth transplanting, so entire abdomen transplants are not performed.
No, actually there is a third choice. They are ovoviviparous as their eggs develop internally and they bear live young.
