Home made pickles canned in a hot water bath are best when eaten within one year of canning. However, they will last longer than that. The length of time depends on how well they were prepared, processed, and stored. If home canned goods are stored at temperatures above 75 degrees, or where they are exposed to light and moisture their shelf life can be drastically reduced.
In my experience with pickled veggies I would have to say they should be good for years. I had some cucumbers pickled and stored in my cellar for a few years I think it was about 8. They had to be the best tasting pickled veggie I have ever had!
Naturally, due to their preservative nature, pickles tend to keep forever. In fact, in all my life I don't think I've ever seen a spoiled pickle. And I'm ashamed to say I've tried some that were easily a couple years old (and lived to tell about it!). But you probably want to know about manufacturer's recommendations - not daredevil antics. This site suggests that pickles are good for: Unopened - 18 months Opened - Undetermined, discard if slimy or mushy This site suggests that pickles are good for: Unopened - 1 year Opened - 1-2 months in fridge (seems a bit persnickety to me!) This site is Del Monte's official site, and they are pickle makers. For their products, they say pickles are good for: Tiny Kosher Dills - 6 months All Other Pickles - 2 years This site suggests that pickles never really do go bad. (although I don't know if I'd let these guys clean out my fridge.) So if you take an average of all of this information, I'd say you can most safely keep pickles for 12-18 months. Anything beyond 18 months and I'd take a good, long look at them before eating. By 24 months I would discard (unless I'm feeling particularly insane that day).
Pickle relish can last up to a year unopened, but if opened and refridgiated, they last up to 2 to 3 months. If left in the open for a few hours, it could be done right then, so put your relish in the refridgerator when you are done with it.
Depends on the pickles, but usually at least a month or so.

Despite the fact that this food is pickled, it will not last long in the refrigerator. It will stay good for only a few days. 2 to 3 days at the most with shellfish.
Pickled vegetables can be eaten even after several months. They do not need refrigeration. They can be useful in seasons when fresh vegetables become scarce.
