Few wars can be so closely defined as this one. At 8:45 AM on 5 June 1967 Israel began its preemptive strike on Egypt, Syria and Jordan by

striking Egyptian air bases. They took out 309 of the 340 Egyptian combat

aircraft within two hours. By day two Arab aircraft losses had reached 416. The war ended at 6:30 PM on 10 June 1967 when an Israeli-Syrian

cease fire was agreed upon. In modern warfare, this was a resounding

and one sided victory.
