They normally make a week's episodes over the day with a different audience after the lunch break and do 4 days in a row when at the Culver City studio. On location programs are normally only 2 or 3 weeks worth of episodes and are done for 2 or 3 days.

Wheel of Fortune started on January 6 1975 with Chuck Woolery and Susan Stafford as host and hostess. The show aired on NBC until July 11 1989 with Pat Sajak 1981 and Vanna White 1982 replacing Chuck and Susan. Then after a short time at CBS from July 17 1989 until January 11 1991 the show moved back to the NBC network. Wheel of Fortune returned to NBC from January 14 1991 to September 20 1991 when it was cancelled for good as a daytime game show.
