The answer depends on many different factors, including what's causing the dementia. For Alzheimer's, for example, factors include the age at diagnosis, severity of symptoms, and general health status. Nor is there a textbook progression to the disease; some people go downhill quickly after diagnosis, while others can live with the disease for 10 or more years.

Negative.

At 80 years old she's already beaten the odds (life expectancy for females generally in developed countries is somewhere in the 70s), and it kind of stops making sense to talk about "life expectancy"... it depends on a lot of factors. She could drop dead tomorrow or she could live for another 30 years.

Dementia isn't an "illness" in the sense that you die from it. It can be a contributing factor (someone with dementia is a bit more likely to wander out into traffic, or less dramatically, to forget to take medications). You really need to get an opinion from a physician who has examined the person in question and is familiar with her overall state of health.

If you're friends with an insurance actuary, you could try asking them, but I'm not sure the actuarial tables go into that level of detail (breaking out people with dementia from those that don't).
