A duck doesn't actually need its mother. You can buy baby ducks that are 1 day old at markets. A baby duck doesn't get milk from its mother or some type of food from its mother, a baby duck just needs its mom to find food for it and protect it from danger. You can actually raise a baby duck from 1 day old to 2 weeks and even 5 weeks old without its mother.
They are supposed to stay with the family for two months after their born and take off on their own. Only this year have I sighted one family who has stayed together even past the point where the children got their breeding plummage.
Baby ducks can be separated from their parents as soon as they hatch. In the wild, the parents just protect them from predators and teach them what to eat.

Rarely, but in some cases yes. It literally depends on the personality of the duck. Like humans, some males are more "fatherly" than others. Some will run away, some will stay. It really depends on the personality and temperament of each duck.
At least 5 years. I think?

Most of the time if you take the ducklings from the mother they will see you as their mother and follow you around so it might be hard to put them back with her and make them stay with her. So I don't know if I would remove them from her or not You are best off leaving the ducklings with the hen rather than removing them. Especially if you want mom to do the raising of the ducklings.
Depends on the species.ANS2:A young stays with parent for protection until it is ready to be independent.
Because when there young they need sombody to learn from example:how to find there own food!

They stay with the parent and continues in school.
Obama care allows to age 26.
Because of Obamacare, a 21 year old can stay on their parent's insurance after they have graduated until they reach 25 years of age. Not everyone agrees with Obamacare.
