∙ 14y agoUse one cup of rice, pour one and a half cups of water in microwave safe dish. Depending of the microwave say cook for 10 minutes. Check if the rice is dry other wise cook for another 2 minutes.

∙ 7y agoThe length of cook time for rice can vary based on the make and model of the cooker and the amount being cooked, but the major factor is the type of rice. An Aroma cooker will do 2 cups of white rice in about 30-35 minutes. They also suggest fluffing it and giving it a further 5-10 minutes on their "warm" setting.

∙ 13y agoPersonally I do not time my rice. If measure the rice according to the packet per person, put in a pan cover with rice, twice as much rice to water, then whisk really hard heat up water, whisk again then bring to boil, stir again, then turn off heat, leave lid on and it should steam nicely to a lovely texture. i also find using a good make of Basmati (I assume we are talking about this rice) as it works better and doesn't go horrid.
