I have been on it for a year now and noticed after a couple of months that my glasses were no longer effective. (They were new glasses though). Am not slowly weaning myself off Lexapro and blurred vision is worse - much worse!

My doctor prescribed 10 mg of Lexapro to me while I was taking 4mg of Coumadin daily. Not sure if it makes a difference but I am only on Coumadin for another 3 months and have been taking Lexapro for about a month. So I would imagine it is safe as long as you continue to have your INR levels monitored. But you may want to check with your dr especially if you need to be on Coumadin long-term or even forever in addition to the Lexapro.
Lexapro demonstrates therapeutic effects after 1-2 weeks.
I have taken them together and survived. 20 mg Lexapro with 5 mg Vicodin and 3 pints of beer. My doctor said the Lexapro and Vicodin are ok together as long as it is supervised and within the recommended dosage. The beer, probably not ok.
You will start of with a dry mouth, then you will feel weak and will suffer fro terrible headaches and blurred vision, they you will pass out and die.
They actually have a name for this and it is called "Computer Vision Syndrome". Basically, you strain your eyes and can get blurred or double vision. If you want to prevent this they make glasses for people who use computers a lot. Computer glasses do some of the focusing for you so that your eye muscles can relax more. You can also prevent this by taking regular breaks during computer use.
High blood sugar causes the lens of the eye to swell, which changes your ability to see. To correct this kind of blurred vision, you need to get your blood sugar back into the target range (80-140 mg/dL before meals, and 100-160 mg/dL before bedtime snack). It may take as long as three months after your blood sugar is well controlled for your vision to fully get back to normal. Blurred vision can also be a symptom of more serious eye problems. If your vision is blurred, contact your doctor.
When I was taking Lexapro (I am a male)I was unable to have an orgasm. I would get an erection, but could not no matter how long I had sex, have an orgasm. My doctor switched me to Welebutrin and I have not had a problem since.
You should take your next dose as soon as possible. If you have been on Lexapro for a long period of time then the withdrawl effects can be unpleasant, as in causeing anxiety and/or depression in a way worse than before. If you do not like lexapro you should notify your doctor and come off of it slowly.
supposedly it can cause bleeding in the liver, gums, etc. talk to your doctor. in small doses it is sometimes permitted.
