How long do you have to wait to smoke after getting tooth pulled?
Dental care professionals recommend a minimum of 48 hours, although some suggest not smoking for up to 2 weeks when your gums are fully healed. Smoking, as well as drinking from a straw, can cause dry sockets which are very painful and have no treatment options.
As long as possible!
i wouldn't smoke at all.
I just had two teeth pulled and my denist said 4 days till I can smoke
Hi I just had a tooth pulled last night.i was told i could eat and drink in 20 min .I just had to make sure they were soft foods
How long do I have to wait till I don't have to worry about getting dry socket after a wisdom tooth was pulled?
About two weeks.
NEVER! you shouldn't be smoking at all!
This procedure would not have an effect on whether or not you can smoke. You can smoke anything right after its done.
there is no time limit you can smoke strait away. do NOT smoke after have a tooth out it could cause the clot in your gum to fall out wait 48 hours.
Normally 3 days. Otherwise you can pull out the blood clot from the extraction site, causing a very painful condition called dry socket.
Normally it takes , 7 to 10 days. But it depends by the age ,the other desises you have etc
generally for a few hours, as the pain killers will subdue the pain
normally 3-6 months, you have to wait for you gum to heal and tissue has to be normal. Aunt Laura
After a tooth has been pulled, it would be advised by the dentist to avoid brushing the area where the tooth was extracted. It is recommended to wait 12 hours before brushing and rinse your teeth after the surgery.
If you brush your teeth regularly, it shouldn't be a problem. Stains maybe.
It takes 6 months for you to smoke them cigars.
Like one week
not to sound mean but you shuldnt smoke in the first place its a bad habit that shuld be illegal its a selfish act to do becuz you can give other ppl cancer wen they dont smoke its like 24 hrs to wait
It can take up to a month for the gums to completely heal from a molar tooth being pulled. You will notice it is started to heal within the first week.
just till it stops bleeding
its fine as long as it was a baby tooth. it will eventually sand down the sharp edges and fall out and he/she will be fine. if its an addult tooth take him/her to the vet to possibly get it pulled.
like, 5 minutes. thats from my experience
A week or so, when teeth are pulled there is a need for the space to heal up some, smoking prevents it from healing well faster. So I'd suggest waiting awhile or you might have to deal with pain longer
If you pack it with cotton, and apply constant but mild pressure, about five minutes.
It really depends on the tooth. When I got two baby teeth pulled out, my dentist saw that one had an abnormally long root/spur.
Two or three days. It stays a bit sore for about a week, but not much.
3 hours to 4
well it depends how long after. if you eat it less than 7 hours after, its not recommended
I almost see why not? I mean as long as your gum has healed since then
imediately if you are not on any pain killers and the dentist told you it is safe.
It depends on who you are... It can be anywhere from hours to seconds. If you have a sensitive mouth, it could hurt for a while
how long before getting one's wisdom teeth pulled should one drink?
I just got my wisdom teeth pulled as well about that long ago and was wondering the same thing, but everywhere I have looked it says a minimum of 48 hours to prevent dry socket. Sounds like 72 hours is best though....... Oh well...
The only dietry restrictions doctors place on extraction patients after getting tooth pulled out is to avoid hot food/drinks for a day. You may eat anything that makes you comfortable and happy, but the problem is most hard food may be uncomfortable and some may mess around with the socket. AND six days is too long a time to give up the small pleasures in life !
Sure, as long as you can sip. No need to chew. However, mixing alcoholic beverages with pain medication is not advised.
i have no idea i got mine pulled today at 2 pm and its now 9 pm and im still bleeding bad.. so if u find out im me at shyymommy2121
How long after? I wouldn't recommend it before you've healed up. Those little bits of popcorn hull getting stuck in one of your incisions wouldn't exactly help anything. Suggestion: Soups, shakes, and soft foods.
it is safe to smoke 5 to 6 days after profiding u wash ur mouth with salt water every time u smoke and keep smoking to a minimum
It would take 2 0r 1 month. But please do not smoke it causes cancer. I'm only in 4th grade and I know that.
Well, yes it will hurt for a couple of days. If your wondering on how long it takes for the other tooth to start poping through, that's just up to your body. Why dont you ask a doctor about that. A bit more: If it was a permanent tooth, then obviously there won't be another tooth growing back in its place. As for how long the pain and soreness lasts, having a bottom tooth pulled… Read More
That depends on how long you still have to live.
You really shouldn't. Try to not smoke for as long as you possibly can after getting the piercing. I'd say definitely not with a couple hours after getting pierced.
I smoked right after acctually the nicoten is a good pain killer and it helps you feel better i does not hurt
4 Hours. And make sure between the time you got it pulled and maybe an hour after that you spit everything not swallow. this helps the blood clot form so it doesnt continue bleeding.
How long should you wait to smoke after you had your wisdom teeth pulled and you have stitches or sutures?
At least 24 hours, rinse your mouth with salt water
if you smoke cigarettes, you do have the risk of getting lung cancer Only if you smoke for a very long time you have a high risk of getting lung cancer.
You should wait at least 2-3 days after the surgery. If you smoke anything right after the surgery. You could destroy the blood clot forming where the tooth was pulled. If you break this blood clot you will develop what is called Dry Socket. This is the most excruciating pain you will ever feel. It will have to be packed by gauze and this stuff that taste like your eating a 10x as strong gingerbread… Read More
You had all your teeth pulled 4 days ago and you are still very swollen how long will the swelling last?
Following tooth extraction swelling can last up to a week.
Not really. But it takes a LONG time. I almost fell asleep.
I never waited
How about the rest of your life. Does that work for you? On a kinder note you can smoke as soon as the freezing comes out.
