It depends. If you mean to change earrings then 8-12 weeks. If you mean take it out completely so that there is no piercing then about a year or longer. You wont b able to leave out for more than a day without it closing back up
In About 2 weeks you can take it out...
it depends what type of ear piercing you mean. for a lobe piercing it can take just a few seconds because its a gun. do not let them use a gun to pierce cartilage! a cartilage piercing can take a minute or two. i have 6 piercings so i speak from experience when i say most piercings are short and painless
Six to eight weeks or longer, cartilage is the slowest of all piercing to heal due to the lack of blood circulation in that area. So you need to be patient with the piercing and keep it clean other than that it's a matter of time.
Because they are not your legal guardian.
It depends on where it is pierced. The lobes can take about 3 months to completely close up, where your cartilage can take 6 months to even a year to completely close up. It also depends on how long you have had the piercing. A piercing that you've had for years can take years to close (in my personal experience).
It depends on how long you have the piercing/ how healed it is. If you have it for longer than a year and it is all healed, it will usually stay open for awhile. Your tragus is just like the cartilage on the outer rim of your ear.
Unless the jewelry is embedded, no, it wont hurt.
For the actual piercing, about a second. Needles go through pretty quickly. Of course, they'll have to mark the spot where you want it, and maybe put on clamps. Cartilage piercings don't take long to mark out compared to daiths or rooks. The jewelery switch doesn't take long either.
after a couple of monthes but i think you still have a small scar afterward
Well it should be healded in about 2 months:)
Only if you don't take care of it and clean it well.
Take a cartilage piercing out like any other ear piercing, get a grip of one hand on the jewel part of the earring and the other hand on the backing and slowly pull hand #1 out pushing away from the face. While this is occurring, take hand #2 and push the backing in a twisty motion away from the face. Do NOT take out a cartilage piercing if not in for 1 full year to 1.5 years in the risk of infection. If already infected, contact your physician and have him/her remove it. Do not do so yourself! :) good luck!
