At least over night. It would be better to have it in there for at least 24 hours.
I THINK you should put your wet phone in uncooked rice so it can absorve the water by leaving it overnight
Two days
Washing electronics does hurt them. But if you do wash your phone, take out the battery on your phone and put it in a tub of dry rice.
take the battery out and put both the phone and battery in a container of rice, it helps dry everything out
take out the battery. put the phone, battery, and battery caes in a bag of rice and put the bag of rice in the oven at about 100 degrees
You need to try Silica Gel Packets to dry out your phone. Keep the phone in a bag of rice. It will dry fast
You can put it in a bowl of dry rice and the rice will absorb the water out of the phone. Leave it in the rice for a few days so that you can be sure it has all come out.
As long as it remains dry, packaged rice will keep literally forever.
"In the washing machine" is pretty extreme. The conventional wisdom is to pack it in dry, uncooked rice. If you happen to have a few dozen of those little silica gel "DO NOT EAT" desiccant packs, that would be even better. I'd recommend wrapping the phone in a dry paper towel before putting it in the rice; that will keep the rice dust out. If your phone has a removable battery, be sure to take the battery out right away. I've never washed my phone, or dropped it in the pool or the toilet, but my co-workers who have done that tell me that the rice treatment is about 75% successful.
Other than using rice, a person can get water out of their phone by opening the phone and allowing it to air dry. It is always important to get insurance on one's phone if possible.
First, do not turn on the phone...leave it off. Take of the back of the phone and remove the battery. Get a towel and dry off the phone and the battery and try to remove as much liquid as possible. Next, put your phone in a plastic bag and fill it with rice...rice is a grain and will absorb the moisture! (But make sure to not but the battery in the bag with the phone and rice). Leave the phone in the rice for 1-3 days depending on how wet the phone got. Once you take the phone out of the rice, you can put the battery back in the phone and try turning the phone back on. If things go ok, and the phone was not too damaged by the tea...things should be fine. If there was too much damage to the phone, a new phone should be the next step.
Well, my smart little friend, it doesn't matter how long you put it in there. But that depends on the rice you use :D If you use rice that's still wet...don't put it in there. If it's dry rice, just leave it there for 3 years...doesn't matter but it will be smelly :D
Same thing happen to me. I know if you have uncooked rice and a Ziploc bag you can take the water out. First you take the phone out of the water. take the battery out water and electricity do not mix! then take off the covers (all even your personal cover) and the screws. fill your Ziploc bag with the rice and stick the battery and the phone in the rice.(if flip phone open and the put in.) keep the phone in the bag in for 24 hours. the water (most) will be taken out. then take the phone put on a absorbent towel and keep the battery and phone there for another 24 hours. then you phone will have no more water (just a little) there will be miner damage but hopefully it will work! good luck!
well first take the battery out then you lay your phone down on a towel with t he side with the speakers so it will drain (note) your speakers might be a little damaged still. Place in a container of rice to absorb moisture and never turn on until you are completely sure that it's dry.
