Halo has been one of the most popular multi player video games. Also another game that has been huge online with multiplayer is the Call of Duty series. On Nintendo, the Super Smash Brothers series has been one of the top multi player games for that system.
For me, I reckon that the central theme of the History of video games is the ones that are dated back in the 1982 in the early stages of Nintendo gaming. Ever since the first Nintendo game console came out along with the very first game called Jumpman, the Mario Bros. would never have been born.
The two games available at launch were Luigi's Mansion and Star Wars Rogue Squadron. This was the first time that a Nintendo home console had been launched without a game starring Mario.
Most likely Nintendo since they have been the oldest company, oh and a little side note, Nintendo was founded in the late 1800s and was a card(like poker) making comoany.
Nintendo has been around for 120 years as of 2009. It originated in 1889 as a business that produced and marketed Hanafudacards. If you are wondering how long it has been working with electronics, as of 2009, 39 years.Nintendo began making and selling electronic toys in 1970 with "The Ultra Hand". They secured the rights to distribute their first video game in 1975, the "Magnavox Odyssey" and then sold their own video arcade game, "EVR Race" in 1975.

Mario is Nintendo's mascot and top-rated game star. He's been in virtually every genre in video games, and is quite possibly one of the most recognizable characters in the world. They will continue to make Mario games until Nintendo goes out of business.
