Yes it can spread to the brain. It is rare but does happen. My dad is 70 and has esophageal cancer. He began having issues moving his left side and went to the ER to rule out a stroke. They found two brain masses and then did MRIs to find where the cancer originated. Thats when the esophgeal cancer showed. He went thru the brain surgery successfully. The cancer has now spread to the liver, adrenal glands on the kidney and to the bone in the shoulder blade
