I am pretty sure that pill bugs start off as miniature versions of the adults and eventually (after a series of molts?) more closely resemble the adults. They start off as eggs and are carried in a brood pouch on their mother's underside (not to be confused with their gills). I think this is correct but you might want to double-check. he takes pills and gets wasted :D
