Birds have phases in life, depending on the type bird. Sparrows, after hatching, should stay in the nest for maybe two weeks before branching, or venturing out of the nest. Branching is when birds test their ability of flight by jumping from branch to branch on a tree, gliding momentarily, and other whatnot.
