It can take anything from 1 to 3 days to get back to base camp from the summit. A lot depends on how you are feeling once you arrive back at top camp after the summit. Some stay there for a night to rest, others come down to the camp below.

You have to allow time for your body to acclimatize to the high altitude by climbing high then descending low, then you must wait for the right weather window to allow you to climb to the summit and back safely.
