How long does it take a letter to reach Ireland from the United States?

it depends if you mean southern Ireland or northern Ireland?,they are two different places,a letter from northern Ireland which i have posted arrived the same day in England when i had posted it early am,and if the person gets two posts a day in England would help also i guess!!

and generally in good weather conditions it arrives next post day,

southern Ireland can take up to two or 3 days im told to get to UK mainland...

It will depend upon how fast your plane is flying, the air resistance and where in America you are going. Flying from the Shannon Airport to Atlanta Airport (in Georgia, USA) was a 10 hour flight but when I flew from the Atlanta Airport in Georgia to the Shannon Airport arriving in Ireland it was an 8 hour flight. The further West you get to the United States, the longer your flight is going to be.
