A blood test should be able to pick up the HCG in your blood at about 7 days after conception. Some pregnancy tests say they can pick up HCG in your urine from about 7-10 days after conception, but most tests you have to wait to about 14 days - when your period is due. Of course every woman produces HCG at different levels and it is possible that your levels are low and you have to wait a little longer than the norm. So if you test and it is negative, wait 4 days and test again. Hello. HCG is released into your blood then later spilled into your urine once the Embryo has implanted itself in your Uterus. You can do a pregnancy test when your period is late. Some tests let you test for pregnancy 2-3 days before your period is due. Its always best to test no early then 3 weeks after unprotected sex. The longer you wait the more accurate the pregnancy test will be. Hope this has helped you some and if it has, then please recommend me. Good luck.

You can dectect hcg in urine as soon as you miss a period or sooner, but very small quanities, however further into the pregnancy the hcg is higher. so if you test early in pregnancy and have a negative result this may be because not enough hcg was traced, early pregnancy tests are better done in the morning with the first urine of the day.
