I think it's about 3 weeks. This is from a neighbour whose wife has them, we are in a fairly cold climate though (North West of England) I don't know if that makes any difference.
On average, it is between 17 and 23 days that they will hatch after the egg is layed... And it is approximately 21 days (3 weeks) later that the hummingbird chick will first attempt to leave the nest.
