The tropical year (from vernal equinox to vernal equinox) is approx 365.2422 days or 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, 46 seconds

The sidereal year (to complete an orbit back to where the earth started) is approx 365.2564 days or 365 days, 6 hours, 9 minutes, 13 seconds

Our calendar is based on the tropical year so that the seasons stay in the same place.
365 days, 5 hours, 46 min, & 48 sec.
A complete orbit of the Earth around the Sun occurs every 365.256363004.

By definition, the time it takes Earth to revolve around the Sun is a "year" (Earth year).

This is equal to about 365.25 solar days (calendar days).

The SI measurement of a "tropical year" is established as 31,556,926 seconds, which is different from the figure of 31,557,600 obtained by multiplication of the Julian days.

the earth doesn't travel around the center of the galaxy. it travels around the sun.

The sun is the center of our solar system. In the grand scheme of things we're not that far from the sun. You can do the math if you need a more precise answer...that being said, it takes the solar system about 226 million years to orbit the center of our galaxy
