How long does it take to get Effexor out of your system?

doctors say it becomes effective within 2-3 weeks, I tend to disagree. I started taking it 3 months ago and didn't feel better until I had taken 1 month+.

I took effexor rx 75 mg once a day for 6 months and then I tapered off of it. first every other day for a week then split it in half for a couple of days then split it in 3rds for a few days. Is it out of my system?

Effexor can leave your system pretty fast. Depending on your dosage and how long you were taking it, you may have withdraw symptoms by day 2. It should be totally out of your system within 3-5 days. However, if you are being tested and they take a blood or hair sample, it may show up in results.
