usually the rubber bands are to correct overbites and therefore if the intensity of the bite is medium, it is kept in for just six to twelve months. Also if you wear two on each hook, it speeds up the pace

I've been wearing my rubber bands for a month now...and they dont bother me that much.

You'll probably have 2 wear them 1, 2, or 3 months....depends on your situation

There is no set time for how long you will have to continue wearing your braces once you start using rubber bands. Everybody's teeth are different.

How are silly bands made?

Rubber bands are made by extruding the rubber into a long tube to provide its general shape, putting the tubes on mandrels, curing the rubber with heat, and then slicing it across the width of the tube into little bands.

How much does it cost to make a rubber band?

It depends on how big you want the ball to be. You can probably make a reasonable sized one with 100-200 rubber bands. One of the big bags you can find in an office supply store would probably be enough to start out with.

How do you make a fidget ball?

You start out with a rubber band, then you take your index finger and, after stretching it, twist the rubber band around it by wrapping it around the finger and turning it upside down and repeat until it feels secure, next, simply roll it off the finger with your other index finger and thumb, then you just start wrapping other rubber bands around it until it gets big enough. It takes a lot of time, and a lot of rubber bands. (I've made one over 3" in diameter! It took around 500 bands, and over a month, but it really helps with stress!) It is easier to use a crumpled paper or a pebble as the core for the ball, but this means it won't be completely made out of rubber bands. (Mine is nothing but rubber bands!) Make sure you have good, stretchy rubber bands so they can fit around the ball when it's big. You will need to double or even triple up your rubber bands when the ball is small. Good luck beating the world record of 5' in diameter!

Do Teeth Gap Teeth Effect Bands really work even for really big gaps and will the gap return if you have a piece of skin between your teeth that people usually have cut in surgery?

I am going to try teeth band effect but I just left my dentist yesterday and she informed me my only way to close my gap is through an orthodontist to get braces or invisalign. I had braces because my gap was really big and the little skin in the middle is a muscle. In order to permanently close your gap is to remove that muscle by having a minor surgery, a frenectomy (I paid about $600). i then got braces but never wore my retainer after and it open up, NOT AS BIG THOUGH but now i plan on using the rubber bands to close it then go to the orthodontist to get a small wire behind my two front teeth to keep it in place. I also had that done but it came off and i failed to get it redone. I have heard a lot of negative feedback about the rubber bands. In your case it would definitely not be a permanent solution, you would need the surgery and the braces. Insurance can possibly cover a portion of the surgery and the braces you can pay monthly, that's what I did, i was 16 paying for my braces at about $109 a month for two years, that's how bad I wanted to close my gap and I know how insecure it can make you feel. You probably feel like you are never going to get it done but little by littel, start withthe consulation of the braces and get the braces first, you could then look into the surgery becasue they can do it with your braces on, I did it like that...Put your mind to it and do it, the outcome is a relief. GOOD LUCK!

How do you tie-dyeing with a kit?

If you have a kid, you probably have all of the dye, and some rubber bands. How you place your rubber bands on the fabric depends on what you want to do with your design. If you just want stripes, then you bunch up the fabric (in whichever direction you want the stripes - they'll be the opposite direction) and wrap rubber bands around tightly. The white parts of the tie dye will be where the rubber bands stopped the dye from getting into the fabric. To make a swirl, you lay out your fabric flat, and pinch a piece of fabric (starting wherever you want your swirl to start - usually the middle, but you can get creative with it) and twist it. You'll want to get it relatively tight, and once you've twisted all of the fabric into a circle, tighten rubber bands around it making pieces like a pie. Again, wherever you have rubber bands will be a lighter spot. Once you have your fabric tied up, you just put the dye on the fabric. You can do whatever you would like with the pattern - just stripes, or swirls. Just make sure that you really saturate the fabric. Once you have that done, you usually let it sit in a plastic bag at least overnight. Sometimes kits will have lye in them, which you would soak the fabrics in before you dye them (not all of them have it, it's not exactly necessary). Once your fabric has soaked in it's plastic bag, you take it out and rinse each piece of fabric individually (with the rubber bands still on) until the water runs clear. You can then take off the rubber bands and wash your new tie dye! (Make sure you do wash it, or else the dye might run and stain your other clothes)
