Yes, I think they do. On Wednesday me and my friend caught a really fat inchworm. We put it into a glass jar with dirt and leaves and grass and twigs and airholes. Two days later we couldn't find the inchworm. In its place was a teeny little cocoon.
They live as long as you feed them and have a paper towel and spray water on them so they can drink.
