The answer depends on the type of shrimp, all penaeid shrimps spawning takes place in the ocean, usually a female produces from 500,000 to 1,000,000 eggs and can spawn many times, it is thought that brown and pink shrimp spawn in October and November, however in some areas spawning occurs during the late winter and early spring.
The exact spawning time seems to be in condition with water temperature. White shrimp typically spawn in May and June with some as late as August.

This is a ridiculous question, since a so called 'pregnant' shrimp is already carrying her eggs around with her. So... a 'pregnant' shrimp will definitely not lay another egg as long as she is carrying around her eggs! This is the same type of question as the famous: 'How many times will a woman menstruate during her pregnancy - if her cycle is an average 28 days and her pregnancy last an average 280 days'. She won't! (as a rule)
