There is no difference. Some rules may have changed but I am pretty sure that it is still the same. I have been playing softball for a while and it is still the same from when i played in 2012 and I still play.
Most of them throw a fastball at around 65 mph. There have been a few exceptional pitchers that could reach 71 or 72 mph. Jenny Finch among them.
Softball and Baseball have been omitted from the 2012 Olympics.
I think travel softball is amazing. Only if you are into it though because it takes a lot of hard work and compassion. I have been playing since i was 9 and now i am 14. My experience has been very good but it depends on what you play for. Like you can play NSA ASA ISA... there are tons.

You can play softball as long as you like just not a grandma. There is pro softball, so you can play softball as long as you like.

Softball bats are designed to hit softballs. Hitting a baseball with a softball bat may damage the bat. Either hit a softball or get a baseball bat if you do not want to risk damaging your bat.
