The incubation period of the common cold is typically 36 to 48 hours, but, in some cases, symptoms can arise within 12 hours, or slightly less, of catching the virus. From the time a cold virus enters the nose, it takes 8-12 hours for the viral reproductive cycle to be completed and for new cold virions to be shed (released) in nasal secretions. This time period is called the "incubation period".
However, the incubation period differs depending on the specific common cold virus involved and the individual infected. There are over 200 viruses responsible for the common cold. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the incubation periods for a few of the most common causative viruses involved with the common cold are:
Rhinovirus: 2-7 days.
Coronaviruses: 2-10 days.
Adenoviruses: 2-14 days.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV): 2-8 days
Cold symptoms can also begin shortly after new virus particles are first produced in the nose (10-12 hours). The time from the beginning of the infection to the peak of symptoms is typically 36-72 hours. Adults can be infectious beginning a day or two before feeling any symptoms. Some people never develop symptoms even if infected allowing for more unknowing spread of the disease. The most contagious period is typically on the third day following initiation of symptoms.
Croup is from one of 4 panaflu viruses. It is primarily airborne but can live a little while on objects. It can live in the air several or more hours.
Like other flus, it can find a new host to infect within hours to days (1 to 4 days on average). Symptoms can begin almost immediately (i.e. hours to a day) after coming into contact with a baby, child, teen, or adult who has croup.
Active mostly from October to May, it spreads from person to person such as at school or anywhere that groups congregate. If you come into contact with anyone who has a "barking cough" you would do yourself a favor by putting distance between you, not shaking hands or hugging or kissing, and by washing your hands if you've touched any object that person touched (hand rails, door knobs, counter tops, etc). You might do that person a favor by suggesting they see a doctor soon for the cough.
Croup is far more dangerous to adults because of airway restriction and decreased oxygenation.
The incubation period for rhinovirus is 2-3 days. http://www.emedicine.com/PED/topic2707.htm
The incubation period for chickenpox -- the time between catching the virus and getting the first symptoms -- averages 14 to 16 days but may be 10 to 21 days.
3-8 days in adults, but up to 4 weeks in infants.

Usually, yes. The most common causes are respiratory synsythial virus (RSV), parainfluenza viruses, influenza viruses. Metapneumovirus, human bocavirus, and a number of other recently discovered viruses are implicated as well.
How long is the 24 stomach flu contagious for
HPV is not contagious as long as your immune system supresses it. If it is dormant, your immune system is properly controlling it and it isn't contagious.
it takes 3 or 4 days to not be contagious
Urinary tract infections are not contagious.
once treatment is started are ear mites still contagious
it is 100 years
I am pretty sure that you are contagious for 24 hours after your first dose.
Bronchiolitis
as long as you want~!
An upper respiratory infection is contagious for as long as the active virus is in your system. Taking an antibiotic will help rid the body of the live virus. You will remain contagious for 24 hours following the first treatment of the antibiotic.
it is only contagious as long as you have the serum on you. once you take a shower and get it off of you it is no longer contagious, but you need to make sure anything that came in contact with it needs to be washed as well if not the person that touches it could get it also. if you burst a blister it is not contagious the blisters are a natural reaction from our body to get rid of it.
