It depends on the species, temperature, and feeding but tarantulas generally have gestation periods (insemination to eggs laid) of several months. 3-9 months is typical. After the eggs are laid in an egg sac, it is a matter of weeks (about 2-6) before the young Spiders hatch, undergo a first molt, and are ready to leave the sac and eat on their own. This is also dependant on the species and temperature.
