There are actually two bridges in Louisiana named after Governor Huey P. Long. One is in Baton Rouge, and one is in Jefferson Parish. The one in Baton Rouge is 5,879 feet (1,792 m) in length. The one in Jefferson Parish is 8,076 feet (2,462 m) in length, with a railroad span and trestle 22,996 feet long (7,009 m). This bridge was widened considerably between 2006 and 2013, some 70 years after it was built in 1935.
