you can take them at the same time. klonopin is not an opiate so it won't effect the suboxone. some doctors tell you not to mix suboxone with downers, but i've done it a million times and its fine.
Seeing that these two meds together have potentially fatal interactions, you should question your doctor to make sure he/she is aware you were prescribed both before taking them together at all. Sometimes, mistakes are made. You have to be very clear and update the doctor about any new meds each visit.
Generally, the only time these are taken together is when they were illegally obtained and being abused. If that is the case, you should speak to your doctor to see if you have a drug abuse issue.
No so long as you tell them an take it like you Should
iam on 95 mg methadona will soma and tramadol cause me to withdraw
i am going for surgury and am on suboxone. how long before surgury do i need to stop taking it if at all?
>No, this combination is not safe because it can cause significant respiratory depression. There >are many doctors that prescribe both of these together. it All depends on the amount of >suboxone you are taking.. and of course never go overboard with the Benzoz.. The above answer was lacking in some details. Yes, you can safely take the two together. The important thing is not to take too high a dose of the klonopin. I take 12mg of suboxone and anywhere from 1 - 2mg of klonopin. I would not take a much higher dose of the klonopin as there is a chance for respiratory depression. My doctor is a 25 year veteran and has been involved with suboxone treatment for the last 5 years, so I trust his opinion.
the next day
If you are taking prescribed suboxone, the doctors will expect to find suboxone or its by-products in testing. It is never a good idea to abruptly stop certain medications without guidance from your doctor. If you need specific directions about your upcoming drug test, contact your doctor or contact the lab performing the drug test.
At least 2-3 days
15 minutes
Ooh, at least 12 hours. Better yet, 24. In conjunction, Klonopin and alcohol can cause liver damage. Much the same way Tylenol and alcohol don't mix.
14mg of suboxone is completely foolish avoid drugs as you clearly don't know what your doing.
I guess it would be okay for you to take a vicodin after 48 hours of you not taking any suboxone. Suboxone has a long half life and that means it stays in your system for a long period of time. First of all, why would you want to only be on suboxone for a week? suboxone doesn't work in a week. And if it does work for you in a week then why would you want to touch a vicodin again??
It usually dissolves completely within five minutes, but if they have been on a shelf for awhile can take up to 10 minutes. Suboxone should only be taken sublingually(dissolved under tongue), if not taken this way it is virtually ineffective.
