It really depends on how and when they ship it. First class registered air mail could take as little as five days, while the post air mail could take as long as a month. You must also take Chinese holidays into account. In my personal experience, a package from Hong Kong shipped two days after I ordered it and arrived nine days after that.
Personal Experiences:
I ordered through SinoMobileParts on February 26th, and I have yet to receive my package as of April 15th. In fact, they sent out a second one on March 26th, because it seemed like the first one was never showing up, and that one has yet to arrive.
Shipping from China to US, the transit time depends on the mode of transport you choose. To ship via sea freight, it usually takes 3-4 weeks. It is much faster if you choose air freight service which may just take you several days.
althoe my freinds dont belive me i got a package from hong kong(to uk) nearly spot on the dot 30 hours later!!! so i think it can take around 30 hours to 17 days to get a mail from hong kong first class this is!!!
A) China is phenomenally large - almost 10 million sq km. Much of that is remote and not well served by transport infrastructure. It might take days just to get the item to a port.
B) The world is a huge place with some nations being much closer to China than others. This would affect the shipping time.
C) You don't say what is being shipped - some items take much longer than others to transport - weight and volume being a consideration.
D) Some companies process orders as soon as they are received, others wait and process orders in batches.
... all the foregoing is to explain why the questioner hasn't provided enough information to allow the question to be answered in any meaningful way.
What is being shipped? A small item of clothing, or a cabin cruiser?
From where? Beijing or Kashgar or somewhere in between?
To where? I presume some part of the US, other nationalities here tend to know we need to know where they live. Americans tend to assume we know they mean America - but even that is not precise enough. What country and city?
Who is sending it? Some self-employed hand-weaver who goes to the post office once a month, or Sinopec, the largest company in China?
If you are shipping from Hong Kong you can find the different shipping times for each courier depending on the item on a website called goeasyship.com :)
The answer to this question varies. It depends on who the package was shipped through and how it was shipped. It most cases it takes about 30 days at the least to receive a package.
