It still is. The US told Britain "We're leaving." And except for a couple of times during the wars when we went back to help, we have still left. The Declaration does not have an expiring date. It was a flat statement that we declared to the world that we were no longer part of Britain, but a free and independent nation.
I am not sure what you want to know. The Declaration of Independence is what it sounds like-- a statement declaring the independence of the American Colonies. It gives explanation and justification for taking such action. It is not like a law or constitution that is subject to revision or replacement.
As for the physical existence of the document, it is sealed in an oxygen free , air-tight case and protected by every known archival method. It will last for centuries unless some unknown power destroys it.
