A Toyota Camry Solara engine can last anywhere from 150,000 to 300,000 miles or more with proper maintenance, including regular oil changes, tune-ups, and timely repairs. Factors such as driving habits, environmental conditions, and adherence to maintenance schedules significantly influence the engine's lifespan. Many owners report their vehicles lasting well beyond the average lifespan with diligent care.
Toyota's 2AZ-FE engine is a 4 cylinder in line, gasoline engine. The engine displacement is 144.1 Cu in (2362CC) that's designed to run on 'regular' gasoline. The engine holds 4.0 U.S. quarts of oil (with filter). It uses a timing chain (not a belt) that doesn't have a maintenance schedule. Horsepower is reported as 158 in the 2007 Camry with 161 lb ft of torque. Those last two numbers vary depending on year and vehicle the engine is installed in. Beyond that you'll probably want to look up stats in a Toyota service manual or Haynes/Clymer manual for the Camry/Solara. Cheers

The 2005 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder does not use a timing belt it uses a chain that requires no maintenance and normally will last the life of the engine.
no They made it last in 2009. They keep having really cool Cars like the supra, celica, and Solara and then they stop making them
yes unfortunately. I believe 2008 was the last year. I think Toyota is just letting the tC fill the market there while the Camry takes the place where it always been. so while I see the logic in Toyota's decision, the world lost a very good and dependable car model.
The 4 cylinder has a timing chain that does not require replacement and is designed to last the life of the engine.
The last year the Toyota Camry was produced with a manual transmission was 2012. After that model year, the Camry transitioned to automatic transmissions as the standard offering, reflecting a broader trend in the automotive industry toward automatic gearboxes.
The 2009 Toyota Camry SE is equipped with a timing chain, not a timing belt. Timing chains are generally more durable and don’t require regular replacement like timing belts do. This means that the timing chain in the Camry is designed to last for the life of the engine under normal driving conditions.
The list price for a Toyota Solara Convertible is listed at 29,965. It is a great deal and Toyotas in general last a long time. The list price is subject to change depending on the year you want.
In the 2006 Toyota Solara, "ET" on the multifunctional display typically stands for "Elapsed Time." It indicates the duration of time that has passed since the last reset, often used for tracking trip duration. This feature allows drivers to monitor how long they have been driving since starting the engine or resetting the timer.
With a proper treatment and maintenance it can go up to ~200K no problem. Of course, you will notice some loss power (but not necessary), but overall you will have no problems.
Not sure if it applies to you.... The last 3 incidents I know of are basically faulty catalytic converters. Replace it.
