There are at least four. Jesus (the son of God) and Bar-Jesus, the Jewish sorcerer and false prophet mentioned in Acts 13:6. Jesus who is called Justus in Colossians 4:11. And Jesus called Barabas, who was set free instead of Jesus called the Christ

In The Bible there was only one Jesus Christ. ('Jesus the Messiah')

However, Jesus is a common name in some countries.

The Jewish historian Josephus (1st Century AD) mentions 12 other persons, outside of the bible record, also called Jesus.

In the bible, the Greek word for Jesus appears in

  1. Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8. This is referring to Joshua, the leader of Israel following Moses' death. The names Joshua and Jesus are English translations of a Hebrew name.
  2. Luke 3:29 'Jesus' is named as one of the ancestors of Jesus Christ in some bibles.
  3. Colossians 4:11 a Christian called Justus was also called Jesus.

Jesus in Hebrew is Yeshua or Joshua in English so it was probably a very common name back in the day and there were also many fake messiahs at the time which is why a lot of people were skeptical and didn't realize who Jesus Christ was until after he was dead.

There have been many, many Jesuses because Jesus was (and still is in parts of the world ) a very common first name.

However 'Christ' is not his second name. The term 'Christ' comes from the Greek for 'The Messiah', so 'Christ' is his title. Like President Bush, Queen Elizabeth, Archbishop Tutu and so on, 'Christ' is Jesus' title. So the Jesus of the Bible is Jesus the messiah, or Jesus Christ, and there was and is and ever will be only one Jesus Christ, Jesus the Messiah.

If you're talking about the Jesus Christ who did miracles and everything, well there has only been one. Because i dont know why you would even call your child Jesus but the people who do, their last name is NOT christ.

As far as when he was on earth, people just called him Jesus. Jesus means Jehovah is Salvation. Jehovah is the Almighty God according to Psalm 83:18 and this is who Jesus prayed to while he was on earth. Just read the Bible for yourself because people can say all kinds of nonsense;spouting nonsense that they believe.

There are many "versions" of Jesus. Really, there is only one Jesus, but people have many different religions, and for them, there might be a Jesus, but they might call him a different way.
