Teabags are bags with tea leaves in them, they're usually used to make tea
McAlister's tea is just Lipton tea brewed in a 5 gallon ern with over 8 cups of sugar added to it.
One gallon is about 128 ounces, so if one tea bag is good for 10 oz of water, then about 10 teabags is good for a gallon. Start with 10 and adjust accordingly with water.
You can also make icebox tea by placing either a gallon-sized teabag or several teabags in a gallon jug. Fill the jug with water so it covers the teabags. After 4 - 5 hours or overnight, remove the teabags.
The same number of pints as there are in one gallon of anything. 2 pints per quart and 4 quarts per gallon makes 8 pints per gallon
Fill a gallon glass jar with water and add 6 to 8 tea bags and place in sun for a few hours. Sweeten if need be or drink the way it is if you like.
About 3 Large flats and a pile of used teabags in 1 day
You will need 12 regular tea bags, two pounds of sugar, boiling water and a gallon container. Boil the water and put the tea bags into it. While it is still hot, disolve the sugar into the mixture, and let the bags steep until the mixture is lukewarm. Squeeze the teabags, pour the tea into a container and cool in the refrigerator. If there is too little tea, rinse the teabags in hot water to get more tea to pour into the original batch to top it off. The key to the sweet tea is to get the sugar into it while it is still hot, then cool as quickly as possible. Do not dilute this tea, it is designed to be used over ice which will make it the right strength.
2 quarts make half a gallon but 4 quarts make a whole gallon !!
Four quarts make a gallon. Eight pints make a gallon. And sixteen cups make a gallon.
gallon Four quarts make 1 gallon.
31/2 standard teabags (2g each) make one family sized teabag (7g). However, depending how strong you like your tea and the actual teabags you are using, you may need to use more or less. I would suspect that the single larger tea bag gives a stronger cuppa char than the same amount of tea in lots of smaller teabags.
