The construction of the Biltmore Estate, which took place from 1889 to 1895, did not record any official fatalities. However, it is important to note that while no deaths were documented, accidents and injuries were common in large construction projects of that era. The estate was built under the direction of George Washington Vanderbilt II and employed a significant number of workers, but specific records of incidents are scarce.
George Vanderbilt was the founder of the Biltmore.
As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, there have been no widely reported fatalities specifically associated with the swimming pool at the Biltmore Estate. The estate is known for its history and grandeur, but like any public venue, it is essential for visitors to follow safety guidelines while enjoying the facilities. For the most current information, it's advisable to check recent news sources or the estate's official communications.

2nd Husband was Vivian Francis Bulkeley Johnson from England, he was much older than Cornelia and died a few years later and then Cornelia married a much younger man William Goodsir who left his wife and family for Cornelia. In 1976 Cornelia died and soon after William went back to his family but ultimately killed himself and he is buried in Cornelias plot in the UK. Cornelia's wildness was legend and she was after the men, she rebelled, changed her name at times to Mary or Nilcha, dyed her hair wild colors etc and never returned to the USA or Biltmore after she left in early 1930s. She tried to sell Biltmore House since she was the owner but her mother saved the house and Cornelias two sons inherited the estate and one still owns it today.
