Iron Maiden are a British Heavy metal band from Leyton in East London, formed in 1975. The band is directed by founder, bassist and songwriter Steve Harris. Their current record sales stand at over 80 million albums worldwide. Founding member and bassist Steve Harris, and guitarist Dave Murray, remain the longest-surviving members of Iron Maiden. They have been joined over the years by Bruce Dickinson, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers and Nicko McBrain.
