The diesel has two. Sensor one is closer to the engine.
16518- P0134 O2 Sensor Circ.,Bank1-Sensor1 No Activity Detected 16519- P0135 O2 Sensor Heater Circ.,Bank1-Sensor1 Malfunction
O2 Sensor Stuck Lean (Bank1 Sensor1).
in the exhaust manifold toward the firewall its the hard one!!!
It has two. One is before the catalytic converter (Bank1 Sensor1) and one after the catalytic converter (Bank 1 Sensor2)
You need get a special socket for oxygen sensors. Disconnect the harness, use the socket to remove the sensor. Reinstall a new one. Tighten the sensor the proper torque. Put some dielectric grease on the harness, reinstall the harness. Reset the ECU.
2, bank1 and bank2
It depends on which sensor, O2/camshaft,etc. The O2 sensor is a straight metal sensor that is screwed into the exhaust. There is an upstream/bank1-sensor1 or down stream/bank1-sensor2 after the catalytic converter. A camshaft sensor is an L shaped, usually black sensor that is installed into the head closest to the firewall(bank1).
I have a 99 f150 w/ the v6. You actually have 4 o2 sensors. 2 upstream of the cats and 2 down stream of the cats
the oxygen sensor(s) on any car is gonna be screwed in the exhaust. the primary sensors are screwed in the exhaust manifolds. the secondary sensors are going to be screwed right before, in, or right after the catalytic converters. if your getting a check engine light, find out what code is in the computer and the definition. b1s1 means bank 1, sensor 1. bank1(or2) means which exhaust side, and sensor1(or 2) is the location of the sensor on that side. the side that has the number 1 spark plug is going to be bank 1.
There are 4. Two upstream (bank1) two downstream (bank2).
Bank 1 is the passenger side of your V6 in a Ford Ranger Sensor 1 is somewhere close to the engine before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter
That's the post-catalytic converter O2 sensor. There are only 3 total O2 sensors (I have a 98 Amigo), bank1, sensors1&2 are on each exhaust manifold, before the cat, and bank2, sensor1 is right after the cat. This is according to Haynes, covering Isuzu Rodeos, Amigos and Honda Passports, 1996-2002, which use OBD-II. -YSA, 05-10-07
