There 27 bones in a hand . That mean 54 in both hand.
There 26 bones in a feet. That mean 52 in both feet.
So we have exactly 106 bones in hand and feet.
There are 27 bones in each foot
and 26 in each hand.
whoever wrote 79 is wrong..I do not know where they got that info from.
thanks but we have 106 bones in both hands and feet
106 total bones.
There are 8 bones in each wrist: scaphoid, lunate, triquetral, pisiform, trapezium, trapezoid, capitate & hamate
Each hand has 5 metacarpals and 14 phalanges (finger bones [3 for each finger and 2 for the thumb])
Total bones for each hand: 27
Total bones for both hands: 54
The foot has a similar structure, but there are only 7 bones in each ankle: talus, calcaneus, navicular, cuboid, and 3 cuneiforms
Total bones for each foot: 26
Total bones for both feet: 52
The hands have the most bones -- 27 in each hand. The hands and feet together make up more than half the bones in the human body. There are 206 bones in the human body; 106 of these are in the hands and feet (27 in each hand and 26 in each foot).
There are 27 bones in a human hand. There are 14 phalanges; proximal, medial (all except the thumb), and distal in the fingers. 5 metacarpals, I, II, III, IV, & V in the hand. 8 carpals: scaphoid, lunate, triquetrum, pisiform, hamate, capitate, trapezoid, and trapezium in the wrist. One-fourth of all of your bones are in your hands. And half of all your bones are in your hands and feet, since the feet have another 52 bones.
the metatarsals, tarsals, carpals and metacarpals smaller than the other bones is because we walk and use our feet and hand to do other things like walk on your feet and write with your hand
No, there are not. It is true that your hands and feet together account for about half the bones in your body (unless you're a doctor, counting the number of bones is more complicated than you would think.... some bones usually fuse together as you grow, and in some people this never occurs with some of the bones for various reasons, so it's hard to be exact). The bones of the hand and foot are different in detail, but similar in overall organization... there are about the same number of bones in your hands as in your feet (which makes sense, if you think about it).
